Cesc Fabregas Delivers Insightful Comparison of Cole Palmer and Bukayo Saka for Arsenal and Chelsea Fans

Cesc Fabregas has urged Chelsea and Arsenal fans to stop making constant comparisons between Cole Palmer and Bukayo Saka.

The similarities between two of England’s most prominent attacking players are obvious given their age, left-footedness and the maturity they have often displayed on the big occasion.

Palmer was crowned England’s Player of the Year earlier this week, an award Saka had won two years on the trot.

The fact that both are the poster boys of their respective teams has only added further fuel to the ongoing debate surrounding who is the better of the two.

Fabregas, who represented both London rivals, took to X on Sunday to air his annoyance after fake quotes were attributed to him.

‘The danger of social media is people really believe anything they read,’ said the former Spain international.

‘No need to compare players, England are lucky to have 2 amazing talents, just enjoy them!’

Saka, meanwhile, was absent from the Three Lions’ NationsLeague match against Finland on Sunday having picked up an injury against Greece in midweek.

After undergoing scans, the Football Association confirmed on Saturday that the Arsenal winger would be returning to his club and would not feature in Sunday’s game in Helsinki.

The Gunners, meanwhile, return to action next weekend against Bournemouth before another daunting run of fixtures which includes games against Liverpool, Chelsea and Inter.

Mikel Arteta will hope to have his chief source of goals available as soon as possible, and Carsley hinted Saka’s setback might not be as significant as first feared.

Speaking ahead of today’s game against Finland, he said: ‘Bukayo would have been close but it would have been unfair to take a risk with him.’
