New Delhi: A rising star in domestic cricket, Suryansh Shedge is making a name for himself as a dynamic finisher similar to Hardik Pandya. Known for his ability to hit more sixes than fours in an inning, Suryansh has the power to single-handedly turn a losing game around. Representing Mumbai in domestic cricket, Suryansh is now on the radar for the Indian team. Suryansh recently showcased his talent by securing Mumbai a spot in the quarter-finals with a fiery batting display against Andhra Pradesh. His impressive innings against Vidarbha further solidified his reputation, overshadowing even the 85 runs scored by Rahane. At just 21 years old, Suryansh Shedge is set to make a significant impact in the world of cricket.
Team India’s new Hardik Pandya:
Mumbai was looking strong while chasing the target of 222 runs and Rahane was moving fast towards a century. However, then silence spread on the field. Yash Thakur showed Rahane the way to the pavilion. There was a commotion in the Mumbai camp and it seemed as if a new life came to the Vidarbha team. But this was the calm before the storm. Suryansh Shedge came to the crease with the bat in his hand with the intention of playing another historic innings. 16 overs had been played and 162 runs were on Mumbai’s scoreboard. Victory still seemed far away.

However, Suryansh took charge as soon as he came. In the 17th over itself, Mumbai’s new batsman made his intentions clear by hitting 24 runs in the over. Suryansh hit three sixes and a four in this over. After this, Suryansh started the last over with two runs, but the six that came off Suryansh’s bat on the very next ball sealed Mumbai’s victory. Suryansh completely changed the picture of the match in just 12 balls. Playing at a strike rate of 300, he hit four and three towering sixes, due to which Mumbai was successful in winning by 6 wickets.
Created a sensation in the last match too:
Along with the bat, Suryansh also showed his magic with the ball. Even though he conceded 36 runs in his three-over spell, he managed to take two wickets. In the match played against Andhra Pradesh, Suryansh had similarly written the story of another spectacular victory for Mumbai. Suryansh had scored an unbeaten 30 runs facing just 8 balls. During this inning, he had hit 2 fours and three sixes. Suryansh has got Mumbai a ticket to the semi-finals on the basis of his stormy innings. Now in the semi-finals too, the team will expect a similar finish from its emerging batsman.
